On Wednesday, the rights begin trading. I understand that preliminary indications are that institutional investors may be willing to pay Kshs 3 for the GoK rights. They would not however mind paying less, so its possible that they may feign disinterest at first, to push down the price (HOPEFULLY). Guys, you better be ready to push the trigger if and when the rights come to a fair price, because the deal(s) may happen very fast.

What will be a fair price for the rights? - the market will soon let us know!

The possible buys are the ones he is recommending you sell. He needs to buy these stocks at a discount so you can help him if you want to. I know you will be helping me. smile

The rights begin trading on Wednesday, 1st Dec and not tomorrow.
for the GoK rights, i think 3 bob sound realistic.
For me, thou, the interest will be more on the xr stocks which will be moving in tandem with the price of rights. So as they push down the xr price and eventually the price of rights, and the attention shifting from xr shares to the rights, i hope to be picking them sub 22 levels for my 10% befroe books close on 23rd Dec!

@SPT, thanks for the correction. I was too hasty in calling for the rights trading to start a day too early. I can't wait for December to begin and in my mind November was ending today!

I have edited my post accordingly.

True, i can't wait for Dec. IMHO, it will be a Great month, what with all the eyes on KPLC, the shrewd Merali will be on the dock as far as Sasini is concerned with Full year results, and then we have investors taking positions in financials ahead of what is expected to have been a Great year for Banks, with the exception of BBK!

He says u hold ur cash until he advises on 15-12-2010. But u can also use ur gut feeling. I would recommend Ugali after books closer.

Now, what is this? Ati hold your cash until he advises? What does he think we have been doing in his absence, waiting for the yaser...the messiah?

THE LAST LAUGH WILL BE WHEN THE PRICE TOUCHES 19. At that price, I will even concede that "the fat lady has sung"!

So, how do we get the price there?

imho any price around 19.50 is possible until we know what the value of the right will be. (unless we already have the price of the right)
