Finally,it has woken up....sh5b worth traded so far.

Prices started at 100.37...then up to 100.4...the down to 100.04

Guys selling to re-pay loans,or what?

100.04 today is quite a discount....

@Pops

v Are you okay in the head

v You pumped in your Ksh100,000 in something you don’t understand?

v You need two lashes on the backside

v Don’t try this again in the bourse

v Seek advice

v Understand the market

v Then invest

v Anything else would be speculation

v Still someone insists all investments at the bourse are speculation

v Is running a shop also speculation?

v Speculation is more about throwing a stone into the forest and hoping you will hit a bird

v Investing is more about placing traps on routes the birds frequent

v Pops,seek for spiritual guidance

v Don’t sell the bonds

v Hold on for a year and see what happens to the market

v You are the variety that is better suited to building a house and renting it

v At least, that’s an area you may understand easily.

Hi,

You should first check with your broker.

If you applied to a broker, they received an allocation report for all investors who applied through them. It might be reflected in the CDSC Account in Novemeber.

As for selling, the big question is whether you need the funds now or later (i.e. liquidity requirements). If its the latter, please hold on to the bonds - after all there is a strong possibility that it will be repaid before the 12 years are up.

Also, should KenGen or any other institution decide to issue a PIBO, it will be at a lower interest rate. A casing point is the 12% for the second infrastructure bond compared to 12.5% with the first bond.

Hence, that will be result in the bond prices going up in future - as people would like to pay more to buy a bond with a higher interest rate.

Hope that helps.

Regards
