The decision to create Kenya Aviation Corporation that houses Kenya Airways,Kenya Airports Authority and Aviation Investment Corporation is a brilliant idea.
If implemented as per the bill then Kenya can become an aviation hub in Africa

Kenyans will foot the bill for the turnaround. We were willing to do it as shareholders, but Kenyans rejected the JKIA SPV for KQ-KAA.. Tulipe tuende

It is more or less the same thing! Only thing in KAC arrangement is that the Kenyan public is fully adopting the baby and all attendant upkeep costs

@obiero pull the trigger to open the market at a premium. Let's see who is gonna be the first to blink.

Indeed and the dance has been held by the holders. I needed not to be told by the look of live things.

There are only two emotions in the stock market, fear and hope. The problem is, you hope when you should fear and fear when you should hope

Many lessons to take home. Especially that KQ isn't worth KES 0.50 sweetie. Minimum buyout is obviously above last trading price

Obiero will do the final rites.

@Vvs,the banks who were forced to take equity stake will be given a treasury bond instead.

The slow pace in announcing the Open Offer is disheartening.. What’s soo difficult in preparing the ratio and price..

I smell a fis/ ratSad

@stiffler.. Virtually no trading happening.. Time to release the Open Offer circular

Mbuvi Ngunze said last year that the open offer maybe after quarter 1 2018 is when they can conduct the rights issue.

Meaning after June 2018. Ama I'm wrong ?

More than 6 months later..!

Don't forget the word " maybe".

@HaMaina a second suspension would be better rather than the current circumstances. A listed stock with over 5B issued shares trading less than 100k daily average over the last two months. The writing is on the wall! Existing investors are waiting for the Open Offer and will simply not sell

There is no demand.

If there was demand with sellers unwilling to sell price would rise.

So the price hasn’t risen? The only thing holding KQ shares back is the Open Offer circular. Current price is extremely artificial where on one side GOK, KQ Lenders Co Ltd and KLM have gains in excess of 100% after restructuring and consolidation while minority shareholders are on average down by over 30% on the same trading stock.. Equilibrium will be delivered only and only via the Open Offer. KES 12.5 is fair value

Jan 25th 2018, I called for the suspension

But this has been set in living memory that the Pride of Africa once traded KES 0.80/4=0.20 less than KES 0.50 KQ is not worth!
