Hii story will be closed very soon. The financiers will get their money na KQ will continue kwa stlye yake
At least KQLC owners like Equity, NIC and I&M will be paid.

What will be the buyout price? What happens to the KES 1.5B rights issue? A court case is inevitable, if the two questions are not handled well

Is the right issue a must?

Its not a must but when as a company you call an EGM in August 2017 and pass a resolution to restructure loans to equity and conduct a rights issue.. The most honorable thing to do is to implement the approval in full

Delisting on the cards

This man has dangerous thinking where all wealth should be held by the government and oligarchs. He doesn't think peasants like @Obiero should be in KQ.

Is your mother a peasant like myself?

She is. You can now ask a KQ related question.

You better believe it boss.. Now we await the buy out but only after the rights issue AKA Open Offer.. I will personally take GoK to court if they attempt a squeeze out

KES 12 is the operative figure.. All trades thus far since 2017 restructuring have been by disillusioned elderly traders who don’t have a clue about what’s happening to their holding

Nothing wise there.. The ABP for none was lower than KES 21. KQ is a gamblers dream stock.. Lets see whether KQLC, KLM, KQ ESOP will take a bow at less than KES 8.52. Meanwhile MJ says that the Open Offer will proceed

They narrowed their losses at zero cost.
The best GOK can offer KQLC, KLM, KQ ESOP is ksh.10 per share

KES 10 is acceptable if accompanied by the Open Offer for the minority shareholders

What is the likelihood of being bought off by Treasury?

I give my estimation as follows:

1. KQLC - 50%;

Pros-
- Banks have greater negotiating power;
- Uthamaki stake in a lender bank;
- Nationalization support by management;

Cons-
- GOK is broke;

2. Minority Shareholders - 30%.

Pros-
- Benefit from buy out of the banks;
- Avoid public backlash and lawsuits;

Cons-
- GOK is broke;
- Nobody cares for Wanjiku;
- Lawsuits whichever way.
Life is short. Live passionately.

Also there is probably some sort of agreement that GoK signed to get the banks (esp Equity) to agree to the Debt:Equity Swap

Cons-
- GOK is broke;

2. Minority Shareholders - 30%.

Pros-
- Benefit from buy out of the banks;
- Avoid public backlash and lawsuits; Who will sue who? Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly
The current board? The prior board? Naikuni? GoK?
If one bought KQ shares without reading the Financial Statements, Annual Reports and Wazua then apambane na hali yake

Cons-
- GOK is broke;
- Nobody cares for Wanjiku;
- Lawsuits whichever way.
