Let "Old KQ" die and "New KQ" can inherit the BASAs, etc.
The "New KQ" can buy/inherit the good assets from "Old KQ" and not the liabilities (staff, debt, etc)...
Let new investors invest in "New KQ" which can then make sensible economic decisions.

Guilty as charged.

Dumped KQ three years ago. Since then, the stock has lost 70% of its value.
Dumped KQ in 2012. Bought KK, ACCS, NIC, Unga, etc among other shares. Applause Applause Applause It's not that these purchases have done so well as much as KQ has cratered.

People really love to hate on KQ.. It’s like an obsession

KQ is a great Kenyan company, a great investment for GOK, a source of pride for kenyan taxpayers but a trash investment for minority shareholders.

We are KQ shareholders via GoK and KQLC. Furthermore, we keep on bailing out KQ as the fat cats ate like pigs.

KQ has also been a rising stock for all the majority holders. Up from KES 8.52 to KES 18 within days of completion on the restructuring, but back down to KES 12 now.. Though still in the black. Only the minority shareholders are underwater but the equilibrium will be achieved by the Open Offer which is coming

KK got a ZERO bailout from GoK yet turned around the business. There was no debt to equity conversion either.
KCB was in doo-doo many years ago but turned it around with help from GoK. At least 2 Rights Issues.

KQ has lost 100bn+ since 2012. It sold off prime LHR slots and land in Embakasi and still can't make money. It received a bailout from GoK. Even banks were forced to convert their loans to equity.
Good Luck! #TukoPamoja given I have shares in KQLC and GoK

True! Several trash investments at the NSE including HAFR

HAFR, ARM, KQ, Sameer, Olympia, Everready, Cables, Uchumi, NBK, Orchads, Mumias, Express among others are all trash.
None has lost as much as KQ has since 2012. None.

People forget so fast, just the other day KK and KCB were making losses and were once hated on just like KQ.Now after the turnaround they are the darlings of everyone.

KQ Shareholders waiting for the turnaround

KQ will turnaround, let's have this conversation a time like this next year. Turnaround Turnaround is here.

@Zillion don’t try too hard to convince non-believers

Let "Old KQ" die and "New KQ" can inherit the BASAs, etc.
The "New KQ" can buy/inherit the good assets from "Old KQ" and not the liabilities (staff, debt, etc)...
Let new investors invest in "New KQ" which can then make sensible economic decisions.

Similar opinion. As it is, KQ with drag down KAA with it.
