Big Question :are you the beneficiary of 21% gain in the first 3 trading days? Or your usual inelegant rooftop shout-outs .Shame on you Pray Liar

Market markers are minting money every time this monkey aka KQ dips in a broader scheme of pump and dump.

Was MM acrimony a conspiracy to sabotage JKIA efforts of much-awaited KENYA-USA direct flights or it was just a coincidence?

We are under review doesn't mean that USA direct flights are now being reviewed.. There's a difference. I think he simply means we shouldn't mess it up!

What does it mean sir? If JKIA is already approved for direct flights what does under review mean?

@swenani its like the security alerts issued by most of the foreign states. they are under constant review, all day, everyday.. just because we got CAT 1 status doesn't mean that its irrevocable. such Miguna-like drama should be avoided at all costs

@Obiero
GOK was crucial they get majority Shareholding in kq.If it wasn't that the airline could be buried like Uganda airways.
Kq now is in safe hands.

@vvs
Safaricom success is attributed to government support and the fact that it was a state Corporation till 2008.
There were very many favours they got during that period.

@ericsson KLM as well as Qatar and Emirates had expressed interest to buy out all other shareholders in KQ and this story was already ran right here on wazua.. It's GoK decision to up its KQ stake, not through any persuasion by the company. That said, it's much better to have GoK in KQ's corner

Safaricom took off under MJ, who was seconded by Vodafone, which had operational control of Safaricom. The then Telkom, 100% owned and controlled by GoK, with lots more assets than Safaricom was raped by friends of dan the thief.

I hope MJ can revive KQ with help from SM.

In 2009 a Delta Airlines direct flight scheduled to jet into Jkia from US was cancelled on or about the very day it was expected to take off.

The relevant line Govt Minister one Chirau Mwakwere had traveled to the US purposely to take the inaugural direct flight.

The US then cited certain developments on the security front as reasons for the cancelletion.

GoK through information Minister Raphael Tuju in the 2005 refused MTN to buy Kencell.
Vodafone pressurised GoK not to allow the deal to go through.
If MTN had entered Kenya at that time,safaricom would have been different thing right now.
When safaricom started it was riding on Telkom kenya infrastructure at zero cost.
