I didn't know he is the guy behind mobicom.

He has been secretive for along time apart from appearing among top 10 listen comapanies. I expected him to look older than the other tough guy of chicken.

I've noticed that Wazuans own only a Few counters on the NSE mostly the liquid ones... Even when jubilee did 9% on friday there was not even a mention... Guys on Wazua start threads based on what they own... So if you own SGL then start a thread...

... the same way I take the inititative of starting one whenever we have news on ScanGroup.

Ok @PKoli, I own SGL and was extremely depressed when wazua took Esther Arunga through the shredders. And yes, I requested for my dividend to be paid in shares (scrip dividend)

I think the only counter I've never heard really being discussed on Wazua is Pan Africa Insurance. I searched and there was only one thread with 3 posts

GG, does it mean that SGL created new shares in the market instead of giving you cash, or how does that work? You requested to the registrars or? I thought that a scrip dividend was issued by a company to all shareholders and not on demand. Please explain

Techs support @qw's argument since mid-term support layers are between 40-50. Besides after realising FY2009 results, which most investors didn't like, the selloff failed to breach 45 on several occassions. Then we have two spike buy volumes @ 46 levels in July as 45 bob threatened to break. With their recent Q1 release, fundamentals now solidify the support. The yearly chart is also bullish. Also the 2010 tourism data is offering supporting. KQ seems to have bottomed out @ 46 and the next route is up or a flat (within 50s). But it looks like retesting 65 to confirm the rally is back. Assuming Q2 is same as Q1, which will be better due to world cup & tourist season, then 70 can be broken. Though the main risk is a spike in oil prices since their fuel hedge for 2011 is only 11%, which is quite a huge exposure should oil revisit $100+/barrel.

I agree with him on USA airlines coz way too much competition... I think KQ has a unique (for now) position in Africa. Remember there are successful airlines who carve a niche. Southwest (USA), RyanAir (Ireland/UK), Emirates...

1) Private (except for GoK's 23% but countered by KLM's 26%) so less interference in operations unlike most African airlines.

2) Less competition in sub-Saharan Africa except for Ethiopian & SAA. Both competitors are decent but government owned. Hopefully, their governments will interfere...

3) KQ's hub (NBO) is pretty decent for expansion into Africa. China/India will be huge players in the next decade & if NBO keeps up...

If GoK does not step up to the plate (JKIA, MIA, Kisumu) then I will have to re-think my position. I do not know why KQ has dithered on a 2nd hub in West Africa...
