@muganda. Thanks for the reply. I will look into the independent distributor
The price at kalahari for both books is minus delivery. Below are the delivery costs from kalahari
Quote: The cost of shipping to Kenya is determined as follows:
(a) if the items weigh less than 4kg , the cost is KES 600, 4-4.9kg - Ksh 620, 5-5.9kg - Ksh 890, 6-6.9kg - Ksh 1200, 7-7.9kg - Ksh 1400.
(b) if the weight is more than 8Kg the shipping charge is KES 1700 plus KES 300 per kilogram over 8Kg.The amount due is calculated automatically when the order is created. Note that the Kenyan Post Office only accepts parcels with a maximum weight of 30Kg.
International deliveries:
Currently, no international delivery (i.e. outside the borders of Kenya) is offered by Kalahari.
Losing my virginity and rich dad poor dad will cost kes 1532 and kes 1591 respectively. this is way above the prices at bookpoint(kes 1210 for losing my virginity) and the prices on the street(tom mboya) for rich dad and poor dad(kes 500.)
I want to start small and focus on leading motivational and investment books from different publishers.
If I were to order 10 copies from kalahari(delivery costs quoted below post), it wuld cost me 982 kshs per book. Add 16% VAT, the cost comes to kes 1139 per book. Assume we make a markup of kes 100/-, this comes to 1239/-, still more costly than bookpoint(I think they make more than 100/-) per book.
This is what led me to ask where(how) the guys at tom mboya bring in their stuff.
