BAT kenya has served me well in the past 1.5 years. Been watching my initial investment creep up from 129 and 138, now at 207. Though i put in less than 100k, the dividend has been coming regularly in thousands. How come on one else talks about this share on wazua. I plan to shuka this bus if it hits 300.

@sparkly BAT is one of the best investments due to superb dividend yield and stability of the company making it a very defensive counter in times of disaster...

but IMHO i think the company is not talked about alot because of little news and activity on the company and also because it has limited/slow growth potential which means are slow and gradual rise in the share price and we all know wazurians are in love with those counters that keep on having share price growth spurts and alot of news flow around them

but all that said BAT is a super solid company and i'm sure 300 will come soon

@the deal, the PE is 14, While DY is 7%. Not expensive fundamentally although you need at least 20k to invest. I would rather have 100 of BAT than 5k of everready.

Does anyone here dislike BAT's product to the extent that you wouldn't invest in the company? Any "ethics investors"?
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

@Mukiha,
Are there such investors?.....If so,who invests in Rea Vipingo simply because he/she loves ngunias?
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.

@VVS BAT went up when everything else was going down. It pleasantly surprised me.

@Guka, lol

@Mukiha rangi ya pesa ni hile hilee tu...
I remember Philip Ochieng'wondering in one of his articles how Evans Mwaniki, who was a model student at Alliance, Head boy, very christian ended up at the head of both BAT and EABL.

Maybe Ochieng' had a score to settle with Evans but at the end of the day if business is legal, why not?

Is this the same ochieng who was head of the 'yellow rag not fit for cleaning my arse' called kenya times?

If yes, talk about hypocrisy!
