Baking stones- anywhere near nai

Was recently out in mulembe land and so guys baking stones for building.
Anybody know anywhere near or around Nai where I can get this done?
Or even better, has anybody transported baked stones from Mulembe land to build their own boma? Was there a cost saving compared to buy the ready made ones?

Why bake the stones? Weren't they cooked enough during the volcanic eruption that produced them?
