Everyday, i still wonder and quetions why land in nairobi&sorrounding is skyrocketing without any solid fundermentals....1/8 in mombasa rd(syokimau)and thika rd,naivasha rd (uthiru) is goins as much as 700k-1.5million...yet, this places DO NOT have good roads, no water,no electricity,no sewage??

r we getting the real value of this plots?did guys in kahawa sukari get the value of their land?for more than 10yrs,those guys endured water problems, bad road,insecurity..etc..

In western countries, land is not placed on high esteem as in kenya...i wonder why?..coz land is not wht makes those countries thrive...its the businesses, technology,service,education..etc tht makes then ahead of the game

why would i go to buy land 2-3-4km frm the main road and endure a rough terrain everyday, unpredictable/questionable water source, constant blackouts, insecurity......REALLY???

If i get my 1million today, should i go and buy a piece of land?or should i go hasstle start a car wash or any biz and make this money grow to enable me take a mortgage to buy a house either in cash/motgage???

Land is a commodity like Gold that holds value—you can also touch it. It is also non-elastic [even if 10m Kenyans flock Nairobi, supply for land will always remains the same]. Even in Western Countries, investors have come to appreciate the value of land and what grows from it, as a cushion against easy Ponzi schemes that are perpetuated by Wall street and even NSE. Read today’s business daily article on: Agriculture becomes the new frontier for private equity in US. http://www.businessdaily.../-/g8ocrmz/-/index.html

If you look at how much money the government is printing and borrowing [read inflation], it is better for those with no business acumen to buy land that can hold value against inflation. Else, if you are lucky to start a car wash and your return can beat inflation, then go for it.
