Kenyans seems to put so much faith in the new constitution. We already have a constitution which does not allow corruption ,tribalism, nepotism etc ,but all these vices are very alive in the Kenyan society and leadership. How do you expect a new constitution to end this? It is simple. If Leaders from top followed the current constitution to the letter, we wouldn't have to waste so much money agitating for new constitution;which we may have but the 'leaders' may decide to trash what is in the new constitution with their usual mtado? attitude

At the risk of being a lone ranger. With the imperial presidency I still see no reason why I should vote for the proposed constitution. Add that to the 47 tribal regional governments , we have a disaster in the offing.I may have the support of Mutahi Ngunyi http://www.nation.co.ke/.../-/10aiqwq/-/index.html
Time will tell.

My question is ,can this new constitution end impunity in Kenya if the leaders we have are still in the picture?

Have said the same thing on this forum. The new constitution will be the biggest anticlimax most wananchi will ever experience. Our problem has never been the law but adherence to the law. Different forest. Same old monkeys.
