Hi skerians,my girlfriend needs the services of a good optican within nairobi that won't leave my wallet with a 'black eye'. Please give some suggestions based on personal experience

1st,whats the problem with her eyes? Before she goes to see an optician,I would recommend you take her to see an ophthalmologist first. If she needs glasses,he will be able to prescribe. Some ailments can be treated by a therapy without necessarily the need for glasses (well, that,i also learnt ... i thought all eye aliments require glasses)
You can see Dr. Joshi at laser eye centre,Sarit Centre or Dr. Gohil at Unga house, westlands. They charge roughly 2k for consultation (same range as any other doctor you would visit). As for glasses, depends on your preference and style. they can range from a few thousands say kindu 7k to 30k and eye care in town....
someone else may have a different experience.
Some deals are like glass. Sometimes it's better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself putting it back together.

Me advice you take her to lions Eye specialists, they are located near kangemi,

Kama ni matatu, panda 22 za uthiru shukia kangemi, mucross barabara mukikimbia then there youll find many taxis that go there, they operate kama matatu,so you'll pay kitu kama 20 bob.
Ive gone there, once and my buddy too,and they are not bad.

Kikuyu is good, but get someone to intro you to one of the docs and make sure you are there by 6a.m! Just like any other business, they could go glasses way just to make a little mo cash... (they could be clear glasses - ama ni sidemirror?)
if the incompetent and the reckless compete, the result is a disaster.. MN

called lions & they said she first goes to kenyatta hosi who will refer her to lions if they can't handle it. She then went to kenyatta hosi private wing, they performed a thorough check up & said it was an allergy. Medication was prescribed & they told her to go back if the problem persists
