@vin...hypertension is a chronic condition and for which 90% of the cases no known cause can be established,the rest ot the cases could be due to sress,elevated cholestrol levels,excessive salt intake,hyperthyroidism,diminished kidney funtion etc.Management by a cardiologist is paramount as high blood pressure is a silent killer slowly destroying internal organs leading to their shutdown.The cardiologist will asses which of management drugs diuretics,beta blckers,ace inhibitors etc are useful for the particular case.If the underlying cause is established eg if it is high cholestrol,drugs and exercise could manage it completly,seek a cardiologists assistance.
