What a run! Kudos Kirui and Mutai. Our athletes in Berlin are indeed a testimony of just how great we can be as a nation. The 1-2 by the duo above will certainly cement our position as the top athletic nation in Africa and one of the best in the world.

Opportunity calls but few respond.

Did you see the 5000 meters women?

I was watching it at Tamasha and I swear all the walevis forgot their drinks as they roared the Kenyan girls home. I am sure they heard us,all the way in Berlin.

But that Ethiopian girl,Defar is no joke either. Having run the 10,000 and then to put up such a punishing pace and still leave something in the tank for a last lap sprint. Wow!

But Kenyan girls rock!
