@ Truth opiner. Times have changed albeit slightly. U dont expect the bond holders not to question how Kengen utilises their funds. AGM's also exist for a reason. Impunity as a reason not to invest is IMHO v myopic. Chias!

My advice would be to look at this stock in the longterm as the demand for electricity will continue rising with development of personal homes, industries and general expansion of towns.
This is a stock one should buy and hold.

...Kwani how do pple make money out of bonds? Kengen sold at 100 and is now trading at 99.42...isn't this a loss considering no interest is paid yet? And here we're talking about large blocks of Ksh 2.4bn [10% of the 25bn issued!!] etc...or these guys could have come to the laundry...

Playing the stock market without insider info...is like buying a cow in the moonlight.

where did the rain start beating us? despite a reasonable dividend, the stock is defying the law of common sense. extremely undervalued at the moment

The very few no-brainer stocks on the NSE though the investment horizon has to be long. Biggest advantage, capital intensive thus a large moat - no destructive competition here (compare Safcon)

@obiero am with you on this one. Kengen is now my single biggest holding, mostly picked at 8-9 Sh. I sit tight and wait for payday, at leas Sh 25.

I like it when you get this insightful. I know you will get a bashing for mentioning KQ but only those who see the bigger picture will gerrit smile

The day of reckoning is nigh. Kengen has never failed to pay dividend since listing despite what is commented here as far back as 2009. True, the price has stagnated but fact is that it is still terribly undervalued

I sold mine two years ago but I believe those in it for the long term, say 7-10years, stand to reap big.
