@VVS; Be very careful with Hybrid Cars.
First; the batteries have a lifespan of about 10 years. A replacement battery will cost you US$3,500 to US$5,000 before taxes to buy. Then you have to look very hard for a mechanic who knows how to fix it....last I heard,there was none in Africa!!!
Secondly; it has been proven that Hybrids do not have that much better fuel efficiency than a good,well-tuned diesel car. In fact,on highway driving,diesel cars out-do hybrids on fuel efficiency!
In a nut-shell,Hybrids are just hype! But,technologically,they are a good stepping stone to the really efficient cars,namely,pure electrics!
