Last year I imported a Toyota NZE using XYZ motors (sorry I cant disclose the name of the dealer for security reasons) The guy I was dealing with requested me to share with him a copy of my PIN certificate and copy of my ID since he needed that information for importation purposes. The process went on smoothly and I received my vehicle in good sharp in October 2009 and he gave me copies of the importation documents. What is worrying is till today I have not yet received my log book. The guy who imported the vehicle told me he has my Logbook since he used XYZ's postal address. I have called him numerators time requesting for my logbook with out luck now he doesn’t pick my calls and most of the time he can’t be reached. I called XYZ motors explained my predicament and they told me the jama I was dealing with left their company. I went to the cops and they advised me to apply for another one. Am worried coz I don’t know why he doesn’t want to give me back my log book and I believe he is doing something fishy with it,don’t forget the Jama has a copy of my PIN and ID. What do I do?

@ Mary

I fear the worst ! He may have correctly got u the log book,then transferred ownership ( using your copy of PIN and ID)

I think the Guy must have taken a loan against the log book,just be sitting pretty waiting for auctoneers to get your car...

@mary 2009

please dont just seat there and wait for nature to take it course go to times towers and do a search of that vehicle if it has taken a loan or used as a corateral you are going to know then follow the legal process since you have the original doc in any case the company XYZ should help you trace where he went if they are honest but we hope all will be well
sorry for the

fortune favours the risk takers but the risk should be calculated
