1. Zain

3. Ericsson EA

4. Alcatel Lucent EA

maybe I can try assist. Got friends in all these places at one time or the other. The salos below are from 3 yrs ago to present. I Stand to be corrected if figures have changed


Need Starting Salos for Engineers with 2-3 years of experience at
1. Zain 70-80K
2. Safaricom 60-75K

3. Ericsson EA 120-200K

4. Alcatel Lucent EA 160-180K

5. Nokia Siemens 70-100k

6. Huawei 80-170K

7. ZTE 40-70K

What if they pay you 30K,give you a house worth 60K,a company maintained car (unlimited mileage),50K entertainment allowance,education for the kids... My point? Compensation should be looked at holistically.

60K House or 60K house allowance ? I cant fathom earning only 80K and am rented a 60K house ! I can see that is really holistic (sic)

you left out Essar Telecom KE (yu),they pay well but again depending on where you are coming from,wat you are offering among other factors.
for instance if you are earning 30k you are likely to be put in the lower cadre of your grade/jobb group ndio usiwe na shida ya pesa mingi.

I used to have a pal at Ericsson,he had 2yrsexperience,was formely at KDN.When he was poached by Ericsson was offered 160k salary,30k phone allowance,fuel allowance 15k .....among others.

I think it's more important to look at the entire package rather than salary only.

I heard Motorola were also looking to join the local market,who knows where they'll be based,offices,what services\products they'll offer,etc etc? a friend who has done telecoms urgently needs a job
