Yesterday went to safaricom.com (actually www.safaricom.com for safaricom.com had some certificate issues) and it was a new website from when I was last there. They have this Safaricom Live thing dominating the homepage and they are offering tv series (in bits so better watch out),music,videos,ringtones,wallpapers etc for download for KES 10 per download.

Then today I get a text from them about their 5bob shop. Having seen the likes of Cellulant,Mobile Planet Google etc make millions out of mobile content download over the years it would be interesting to see the result of Safaricom's aggressive entry into the market.

The big question is 'will they survive?'
