I dont mean to be nasty or anything but why is it that guys keep posting 'paraphrased topics on equity ' .Every 3rd topic in this place is about the damn bank!! I know its all the rage & also the share to have but please avoid the duplication or is it replication!

Your question will still be valid on any other thread about this darling share!!

Dont worry just monday blues but legit too

its never good till its gone!!!!

I have 4500 Equity Bank shares..........
Before the books closed,I would have sold all these shares at 125.............
However,I held on to them till they became post split............
Today,I still have the 4500 shares which I can sell at 15.95...........
In fact,I have just sold them...............
Come May,CDS Corporation will upload into my CDSC account 40500 shares of EB..............
At that point,I can decide to sell them or keep them...........
If you add 40500 and 4500,you get 45000,the product of 4500 times 10 (1 share split into ten)...............

Pavlov,I love that name. It reminds me of stimulus, puppies, response etc............

Note,NSSF will be back in the Market shortly, infact, they might be back..........
I don’t know where the hell demand has come from.............
Ie.,EB demand is 1 500 000 while supply is 5 000. The share has moved from 14.50 this morning to 15.95.

Take one step at a time.

Regarding this seeming high demand; I wrote in another thread [http://www.stockskenya.com/newsite/stkForumTopic.aspx?stk=0&top=13605] that:

Right now,the price is being driven by the fact that purchase orders are pegged on a shilling amount....e.g.,if I had placed an order for 500 @ sh120,I should have given my broker sh60kPost split book closure,my order is still valid, but this time, the cash amount can take up 5,000 shares.....On the other hand,If you had placed an order to sell 500 @ sh120,suddenly the 500 effectively became 50 at sh120....or 500 at 12....because the par value of the share was divided by a factor of 10.
Nothing is real unless it can be named; nothing has value unless it can be sold; money is worthless unless you spend it.

Been wondering - why it's going to take more than a month for new shres to be credited after shareholders have passed resolution, the other approvals cma,etc should just be automatic.

I thought with computer automation- splitting can be done with just a click of the multiplier on the cds database- surely am i wrong?

previously splits -and there've been several, have been done within a week if i can remember well. and why do the shares start trading with split when the splitted shares will not be available for next one month? couldnt they've been scheduled to trade ex-spilit at that that time?

Anyway, cant figure out what law says about forms of share manipulation.

Just wondering,i could be very far offmark-but could the very big shareholders be having a chance now to offload at least 10% of their holdings which are available. Dont know, but someone say Iam very off the mark about these timings.
