Hi,

I need some urgent advice. I had bought some stocks from DSL and sometime in Nov decided to transfer to another stock broker. They in turn told me to come sometime in Jan to collect them which i did but instead they started givin me excuses that its hard to get the directors to sign the required forms. I started following them very week but they gave me the same response. Two weeks ago i went again n was told they r closed. I heard from other sources that they hve closed down completely and the staff i was dealing with have been sacked. Wat i need to know is:

(1) Hve they really shut down?

(2) If they hve how do i recover ma investment and how do i go about it?

Almost closed or will be by mid-next week. You need to get yourself to CMA and file a claim.

Which part of kenya are you living in?? Since october 13 2008 Kpmg took over the running of dsl and true, the directors were not authorised to transact any business

KPMG have now taken over as reciever managers,They closed DSL for 14 days(10working days) to reorganise themselves and will be reopenning the doors this coming monday 30/03/2009 for the next six months to allow you to transfer your investments. and pay those owed money upto 100k.

the managers can be reached at zsheikh@kpmg.co.ke and pkahi@kpmg.co.ke or tel +254 02 2806000. hope this helps

You don't need visit CMA at this point. Receiver managers will transfer the shares. What you have are shares and they are not property of DSL.
