What are your projections for Kengen?

KenGen will be profit, KPLC SHALL be a lossLaughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly

KPLC now aggressively chasing electricity bill defaulters
As they should but those collections will be reflected in 2H.

Hopefully there will be an auditor general in office.

15th + 1 day for the unneeded holiday + Sunday = 17th
How does the 26th come into play?

BUT we can wait for the 26th Feb, then 26th Mar, then 26th April Laughing out loudly

Kenya Re usually reports FY numbers by end of March. This might end up being a long wait for the results and dividend!

It makes sense to change the law to have the incumbent hang in there, if s/he wants to, until the new one is chosen and has taken over.

Or have the successor chosen and ready to go as soon as the term of the incumbent expires.

Actually KenGen were doing their H1 reporting last week, with Kplc scheduled for this week...CMA has told them to wait at the last moment...there's scheduled for a Status Meeting with the National Treasury on way forward Monday 17th, after which it will be decided whether to publish H1 or Publish FY or wait both...its murky waters this Auditor General Absence

Auditor General selection saga could go deep into the second half, weighed by protracted court battle and intransigent leadership at the top. At a minimum, Q2 is sighted as the most optimistic projection.
