The recent heavy rainfall has raised water levels in Kenya’s hydro-electric dams, enough to cut electricity prices by the biggest margin in 16 months. The increased water levels in the dams have reduced the use of expensive thermal power to record lows, cutting the fuel surcharge in December and part of January electricity bills to Sh2.65 per kilowatt hour, from Sh3 last month and Sh3.75 in May.

The restaurant reviews are the negative ones...they could do a food court where they open up the restaurant to competing service providers. That Olkaria spa restaurant service is so common all over Kenya...

The "Delamare Farm" has a nice restaurant but it is some distance away on the "Upper Road" and there are other options along South Lake Rd though all require one to exit Hell's Gate/Olkaria. Wanjiku missed the yearly December trip to Nairobi to attend KenGen AGM. Does Wanjiku understand it is because Her president can't make up His mind?
