Had to start a thread for this because its a historical one for the following four (4) reasons;

i. It will be held in June/July for the first time, attracting most/all Europe based Stars.

ii. East African Community may have 4 Teams in the tourney, Uganda (Already Qualified), Kenya (Almost Qualified), Tanzania (Have a very good Chance) and Burundi (50-50 Chances). Rwanda is performing VERY VERY badly. We hope for at least 2 Teams, which itself is historical.

iii. Matches shall be held in six (6) stadia in 5 cities.

iv. 24 Teams shall battle out in the Finals, highest number ever.

So sad Zambia and South Africa may not qualify. Ghana better watch out too.

Qualifying matches, as of 17th November 2018, are follows;

Group A:
Senegal and Madagscar already qualified with 2 matches to go. Eq. Guinea and Sudan Eliminated.

Group B:
Morocco and Cameroon (hosts) already qualified. Comoros has a very small chance of qualifying. Malawi is out.

Group C:
Either Burundi, Mali and/or Gabon have chances to qualify. South Sudan is out.

Group D:
Algeria leads the group with Benin and Togo also close by. Gambia stands no chance.

Group E:
Nigeria just qualified, with either South Africa or Libya joing (most probably Libya). Seychelles are Out.

Group F:
Kenya leads the group with Ghana and Ethiopia following in group where Sierra Leone is still suspended by FIFA.

Group G:
This is still open for any of the 4 teams to qualify. Zimbabwe leads, followed by D.R Congo and Congo Br. Liberia is at the bottom.

Group H:
This has Guinea and Ivory Coast almost qualified with Central African Republic and Rwanda needing a miracle to Qualify.

Group I:
Mauritania on the verge of a historical qualification followed by regulars Burkina Faso or Angola. Botswana are out.

Group J:
Tunisia and Egypt have already qualified with minnows Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) and Niger out.

Group K:
A shocker group this is with Guinea Bissau and Namibia leading with Mozambique and Giants Zambia on the verge of been locked out.

Group L:
Uganda already qualified, unbeaten FYI, with neighbours Tanzania second. Cape Verde is third with Lesotho already bundled out.

Tanzania just blew a chance of a life time by losing to Lesotho. They now have to beat he unbeaten Uganda in their lat game, and Lesotho must lose to Cape Verde.

Uganda have not conceded a goal in the tournament. Tough task for Tz unless Ug throws in udunguness in the mix.

Mathematically we are In the 2019 AFCON but that can not be declared yet as the fate of some matches in the group affecting Sierra Leone is in the balance.

Cameroon WILL NOT host the historic tournament.

Security in English-Speaking part of Cameroon not good.

New Host to be announced soon.

But I'm sure in such occurrences the federation foots most of the bills because the new host country is doing them a favour and helping them save face, right?

Looks like its going to be historic as East Africa will have four (4) teams in the tournament for the first time in history.
i. Uganda,
ii. Kenya,
iii. Burundi (For the First Time Ever)
iv. Tanzania (ongoing)

With only one Meaningful game remaining (Libya vs South Africa) and the Benin vs Togo match ongoing favouring Benin, the qualifiers look like this;

Group A:
Senegal and Madagascar qualified.

Group B:
Morocco and Cameroon qualified.

Group C:
Burundi historically qualifies with Mali.

Group D:
Algeria qualified with Benin and Togo fighting it out now.

Group E:
Nigeria qualified, with either South Africa or Libya joing (most probably Libya).

Group F:
Ghana and Kenya qualify in a group that had 3 teams after Sierra Leone were suspended mid-way.

Group G:
Zimbabwe and D.R Congo qualify.

Group H:
Guinea (Conakry) and Ivory Coast qualify.

Group I:
Mauritania historical qualification with Angola.

Group J:
Tunisia and Egypt qualified.

Group K:
A shocker group. Guinea Bissau and Namibia Qualify in place of Mozambique and Giants Zambia.

Group L:
Uganda already qualified, with neighbours Tanzania ALMOST there leading 3-0
