Now the DPP, the judge, Sharon's family and the journalists covering this story know how much to ask for to shut up. That's how this whole saga will end.

They talk of a bald man = Ombeta can claim Obado is not bald. For someone to call you bald in the dark it clearly means you have no hair.

Communication with the suspects on phone doesn't prove much, you could have been sending me messages while you are committing the acts.

What will nail Obado, remember the prosecution has to prove their case beyond reasonable doubt.

1. Money transfers for procured services - that can be an uphill to prove Obado can claim that he was giving a loan etc.

2. BTS data. Even if your phones location settings are off, your cell phone registers it's self on the nearest cell tower ensuring that you never miss a call. So the DCI can get this data from Safcom or any other mobile subscribers out there. Ombeta on the other hand can claim Obados phone was stolen, depending on how Obado acted on that eventful day , a lost phone can introduce doubt to a claim.

Now if the DCI does not have enough evidence a mistrial might happen, then trying him again can almost be impossible because Ombeta will claim double jeopardy.

Think about it

I am writing this from Migori and I can tell you that his fate at grassroots level is sealed.. No acquittal can appease the disquiet in the village. People are angry here

This is bad news for Migori residents. The guy now has an incentive to say screw any politics or development work, I'm eating every coin till 2022 with no mercy.

Aii Yawa!!! Ni kama ndrama ni kama vindeo!! Somebody should be taking serious notes as the case unfolds. This story if well written has all the elements of an award winning Hollywood blockbuster or a Netflix miniseries. I can even suggest a title, "The Governor"

His accounts have been frozen. His wife's spending will be monitored. When she goes to buy underwear at woolworths, she might have to explain to the shop attendant the source of the money.

Obado is kaput

With all this he is still a governor, will he be out on bail?
Stealing for the children and wife, then ending up robbing them and your wife off every little dignity
Bad decisions, I think the big man syndrome overshadowed his jugdment especially on the Sharon case, for the billions, I think direct stealing is stupid, using kids and family accounts let alone yours is stupid 10 times.

Yes. The deputy governor assumes governorship for the rest of the term if the holder vacates or dies.

Good for the Abakuria.
