Kenyans do not like their History. History is nothing but a record of what happened. It is basically what the Kikuyu call "muchene". It is important to know what happened and what is happening. When you go home and your children tell you about their day and you tell them about your day and your wife tells you about all the neighbors day you are engaged in learning history. We will read about some things just because the people involved are very prominent but the basic principle is telling what happened.

Historians are only famous when they die or when they tell stories that are distant from them because the very act of recording history is not popular. It is what is called gossip. Kenya's best Historians are Miguna Miguna and John Githongo. Omarosa will also go down in history as one of the best historians of the Trump presidency.

Probably. In another 1000 years History will be obsolete because people will have a video of exactly what happened so no need for people to write stories. If a video of Alexander the Great existed and you could just watch the real Alexander instead of listening to someone else's account of him he might not be very interesting. What makes History interesting is what is edited out so that what we regard as History is not so much what happened but our IMAGINATION of what happened.

So, what you are saying is that when history is recorded in video format it ceases to be history?
History is not qualified by the method it was recorded. Eg. The 2007/8 clashes will always be engraved in the history of Kenya.

BBI will solve it

It will cease to be interesting. What we know as history is only a very small fraction of what happened, most of it is chumvi added by those who wrote it. A lot of other things were also happening during the periods that we think we know in history but because no one wrote about them we will never know about them. Someone in the year 2200 researching about the Kenyan history of 2018 will have thousands of videos of everything that happened. There will be 1000 sources for any view point which will make it difficult to create a narrative.
