Tough times for civil service bosses

The problem with graft is that it's a culture thing

We have been corrupt for far too long to even see the wrong in it. The kind of deals these public servants engage in only differ with those in private sector in magnitude

Everywhere today guys ask for 'yangu ni ngapi?', or ongeza zangu juu.

Most of us are angry because it's someone else eating, not us.

Interesting days ahead. My feeling though is that the war would need to be sustained for about 20yrs to root out graft from our nature

The war against the corrupt aspects of our nature is a life time one. Not 20yrs.

What we're seeing is more about the mechanisms for controlling corruption being defined.

merely a passing cloud.

a fad that will soon give way to another.

3 per seat died with Hon. Michuki.

second term school burning went with Matian'gi going to National Security.

by the way, Jomo Junior is immune to prosecution while in office. Does this immunity extend to Arab Mashamba?

With a hobbled budgetary allocation, surely how are they going to accomplish that?

What we now need are more prisons. Some of the buildings now being demolished should be partly reserved as holding cells for all the economic crimes convicts to serve as a reminder to others what would await them.

Me thinks we need some serious jails in far flung areas like Garissa and Mandera for economic crimes.Mtu akipelekwa huko for 3 years they will never be the same again.

And we must have a time limit for concluding the cases.
