Safaricom has reappointed Sylvia Mulinge as a director in charge of Special Projects.

Ms. Mulinge had exited the company to take up new assignment as Chief Executive Officer of Vodacom Tanzania. Her appointment in Dar es Salaam scheduled to take effect on June 1st 2018.

However this became a cropper after the neighbouring country’s authorities delayed in issuing her with a work permit.

In an email to staff seen by Citizen Digital, CEO Bob Collymore said Mulinge’s appointment will take effect from 1st October 2018.

“In this role, she will report directly to me and will be responsible or spearheading our commercial revival and help us deliver our strategy,’’ reads a section of the communication to staff.

Ms. Mulinge will also be required in the short term to work with commercial teams to “restore customer trust and loyalty.”

True...

Still heavy supply.

Looking for a boarding point but as it stands that would be catching a falling knife.

You guys have been advancing that Telcom is eating into Safcom market share, how come that is not reflected in growth of subscribers. Safcom are way ahead of the chasing pack.
