The Board of Nation Media Group PLC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr STEPHEN WAITHAKA GITAGAMA as the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Company, with effect from 7th June 2018.
Mr Gitagama joined Nation Media Group in September 2007 as the Group Finance Director, coming from Kenya Breweries where he was the Finance Director. He has been the acting Group Chief Executive Officer since 1st February 2018.
Mr Gitagama holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.
Mr Gitagama is a director of Monitor Publications Limited in Uganda and Mwananchi Communications Limited in Tanzania, which are subsidiary companies of the Group and a director of PDM (Holdings ) Limited, which is an associated company.
By Order of the Board Pesa Nane plans to be shilingi when he grows up.
