One can say that they take advantage of their conditions to get sympathy votes. Many have succeeded and some later succumb to the disease. Others spend tonnes of time abroad seeking medical attention and at the same time they have left a power vacuum back at home. Why are us Africans that selfish? Why can't we just let able bodied brothers and sisters lead, as the sick us fight to bring our bodies back to normalcy?
Does this mean if one got HIV, or diabetes, or cancer which they can manage for the next 30yrs, then they should not run for office? Should "life" come to a stop when one gets a terminal illness?
