I will send you a HI is a popular slang in Ghana meaning I will send you a WhatsApp message.

For me another meaning of HI means HEALTH INTELIGENCE.....

Forgive me for impertinence but if I may, are you sober?

You have posted this topic three times, in other words, you have started Three (3) threads with precisely the same wording.

Second, you speak of "sending a WhatsApp message" yet this is the Virtual Republic of Wazua.

I am asking for a friend.

In other news, have the New Year you desire, sober or inebriated.

MAN MADE STRESS

One of the risk factors in high blood pressure is STRESS.

the truth is most often we are the originators, the creators of stressors ourselves and we inflict it on ourselves which raises our blood pressure.

This is a deliberate action not out of ignorance.

Yes, I can see this clearly now.

Instead of deleting two of the three similar threads, or requesting the Office of the Administrator to do so on your behalf, you go on and initiate a forth.

Does this mean if you have three wives and two become redundant, you go and find a forth?

No wonder you are the newly crowned Living A Healthy Life With Stress Specialist in the Virtual Republic of Wazua.

Looks like 2018 is on to a good start.

Was this before or after you took your pills?

Out of curiosity, how many pills do YOU pop per day?

Kindly refer to the Doctor Prescribed Pills in your reply.

Of course I assume the Doctor whose prescription you are taking is educated, trained, and certified by independent and Internationally recognized vetting organizations.

Leave the non-prescribed pills for one of the other three threads.

One of the stress factors is money problems to meet up a particular standard.

Most of us are under stress to meet up financial obligations which are avoidable or not necessary.

We lead our life's to satisfy other people's unwritten standard.
Be it wedding, funeral or child dedication in the church.

What others did or what society expects from us we must meet try to meet up even to borrow.

BURIAL. ..KWAME THE CAB DRIVER

Kwame my efficient and good driver is the one of the best I have found.

He told me about the unfortunate death of his father and that for the burial he will request me to borrow him 5,000 cedis (about 1,200 USD) paid back by installments.

Purpose:- To perform funeral rites mainly for entertainment and music because as the first son from a polygamous home he wants to play his role so as not to be an object of shame in the village and the other three wives

note:- Kwame lives in a rented single room in the city with his wife and 3 young children in govt school with poor education standard. His car is rented where he has to pay 500 cedis per week to the owner.

He confessed that work did not allow him to visit his late dad when alive. ..

Question:- Why can't Kwame EAT the shame and get on with his life and only give what he can afford for the burial.

I gave him the little I could but I understand he has lost his job. The car has been retrieved as all his attention and finance was focussed on the burial.

The self inflicted stress Kwame went through would have been enormous.

Food for thought

BURIAL..... Stefano

Stefano told me after management meeting that he has to travel to his country Italy asap because his dad is sick and in critical condition.
He returned after week.

Then the worst happened, he received the negative news that the father has died. Natural question to him is when are you travelling for funeral and how can me the boss and dept support you?

The short and sharp question from Stefano was sorry I don't need any support and am not travelling, he has already been buried in a quiet way. My sister as we are two advised no need for me to come.
He added thank God I saw him alive before he died which is more important.

food for thought

CHILD DEDICATION.... BROTHER MUSA

Brother Musa( not real name) planned to do child dedication in his local church.

The challenge he had is that his budget is 600,000 naira (our local currency) wheras he can only afford 150,000. He was going round soliciting for funds to make up the shortfall.

I probed further by asking him how he arrived at the huge budget because I know that he is on meager salary ?

His response was that he wants to make it a grand ceremony to thank God because the delivery process was tough but God intervened.

This is a self inflicted stress....

WEDDING....MR GRAND(Not Real Name)

Mr Grand has been working in the past 31 years in the oil industry which offers the best condition of service...good salary, generous allowances. He rose through the ranks from a junior clerk to middle level senior staff . His only child and daughter was about to wed.
Besides Mr Grand has attended several flambuoyant weddings in the past with admiration.

Mr Grand got himself involved in the planning financing and execution of his daughters wedding to his taste and standard. It was as if he was the one wedding. 90% of the invitees were his friends and colleagues and the bride his prospective son-in-law and the bridegroom where more like spectators.

The wedding dug a deep hole in the pocket of Mr Grand.
He took loan, invited all and sundry to attend the wedding especially the reception. There was a lot to eat and drink and even to steal. He was given a standing ovation by his friends and colleagues in appreciatiob for a wedding well financed and executed and generous.

The aftermath is that Mr Grand fell ill could not resume work , was admitted to hospital for 2 weeks after being diagnosed of extreme exhaustion and high blood pressure of unknown origin.

Another example of self inflicted and expensive stress?
His only reward was accolades from friends and colleagues which is NOTHING, I reckon.

The fact is wedding is the start of life for a fresh young couple, rich parents should not impose themselves , their resources on their children's affairs, it is their day let them do it to their standard and with what they afford, parents from my point of view are distant observers.

There is no point for parents to create unnecessary stress on themselves. The young couple can absorb the stress at their level better that the parents.

This brings to mind in Nigeria a recent introduction(not wedding) between children of 2 governors in which 11 governors attended and 12 others were represented by their deputies

For me it is a waste of state funds and time but other public servants are taking a cue from that.

In any action you take avoid stress as much as possible.
If stress is inevitable have a plan to manage it so as not to affect your health .
