Financial illiteracy is real. It can kill too. Happened to our very own Samuel Wanjiru.

He doesn't sound like a mam with excesses like Wanjiru

More like a man who loved and trusted his wife too much

He used to send all his money to her but they couldn't consider that and leave the poor lad something at least to lick his wounds? Sad Sad Sad

Both were illiterate financially. Wanjiru opted for debauchery while Eboue was more of a workaholic. All ways to escape the unknown, with the hope that it will all pan out. Sad.

There alot of people that fit this description. Only that theirs is not as much. nor are they famous. But lots of zombies in clubs, or out chasing/giving 'cats' etc

Is it that the mama registered all the properties in her name? or how did he end up losing everything?

I hear in most of the West, when you divorce, your woman gets the kids, your home and car!

Very unfair to men

Can't blame Eboue for suicidal thoughts

Even being "smart" in western countries doesn't make a difference coz the law is an ass.Laws are heavily skewed against men. When you divorce you lose 50% of your assets and you spend 30% or more depending on how long the proceeding will drag out. After divorce you can end up paying your ex wife alimony for the rest of her life depending on how long you were married in states like California.Child support is set by the court and it doesn't factor in a drop in your income. So you can end up in jail for not paying it despite the fact that your ex wife made you go broke during proceedings.Money matters aside, what makes most men contemplate suicide is separation from kids. All your wife has to say is abuse/harrasement and you are guilty until proved innocent. This is why marriage rate is at an all time low in the west and mens movements like MGTOW are gaining alot of traction. So Ebue is not stupid or naive. The odds were simply not in his favour. Its like buying KQ,Harfric, mumias, uchumi shares and having 100% returns. What are the odds?

By the way Eboue was one of my favourite footballers. Together with Samuel Kuffour, they were brilliant but under-celebrated.

This is what happened to him.

BBI will solve it

He's got himself two offers from his former clubs ( Galatasaray and Arsenal). I think he might take the offer from Terim ( Galatasaray President) to coach their under 14 teams. It's a relief and at least he can get away from goddamn England and it's jinga laws.
