Kenyans religiosity is far outweighed by our tribal sycophancy. That is the root cause of all of Kenya's problems.

If Kenyans were to really follow moderate religious principles, we would be an excellent country. It would mean politicians would have a conscience and not loot the treasury dry or grab land or assassinate people who disagree with them.

It would also mean the people would vote for upright leaders not thieves, looters and murderers.

Even in the days of Christ, the people of that time did not believe....so I will not be quick to judge.I will give it some time.

You cannot abolish religion, it's not only the opium for the masses (read poor) but I can assure you any substitute would be much worse.

There will be righteous men and conmen, even the Bible is clear on that. So there's nothing new.

BBI will solve it

Religion is VERY IMPORTANT for a frustrated poverty ridden country like ours.let me tell you religion fills a gap otherwise many would commit suicide out of depression....most of the divers of religion and fanatism are women...congruants of churches are composed of almost sixty percent women.and why...they've found that prayer and messages of hope delivered in church give them hope to live another Day...very essential for a Shithole country like ours where many live below a dollar with little to no hope of better living, lack of access to quality health care as the upper crust live in perpetual luxury.

Religion is a form of escape, from the realities of life, for the majority poor.
For the rich, its a form of expression, being recognized, power and control.

It is a big tragedy for the poor to have allowed oppression into themselves with a hope of being compensated for their grief in the future. It is sad to allow others take your happiness in this world in hope of redemption in the future. That brings the roadblock in the mind to discover that this life is all we get and our help with never come from anywhere. An even bigger tragedy is to go through life and fail to discover why you existed in the first place
Time is money, so money is time. Money saved is time gained in reverse! Money stores your life’s energy. You expend your energy, get paid money, and store that money for a future purchase made in a currency.

Unfortunately few religions subscribe to the values you claim to be true for religion generally.

The tragedy is that most of us will commit to unexamined ideas with the zeal of universal truth.

The problem isn't religion. The problem is that its critiques are never critical or rigorous enough.

Why instruct me to do what I've always done without instruction, not just yesterday, but since I was way much younger? Try to find something more intelligent to say.

Obviously, you can see that some of the things you've said may be wrong. But you have more pride than intelligence.

So, I won't mind spending sometime exposing some of your folly!

Even if you do like what saint people say to you you may waste your life to something very hard to understand and apply in our everyday life. So something like that and you do not want to live your life like that till the end. Unless you want to become somewhat saint;)
