Resistance could not hack the green juggernaut.. Safaricom is a huge firm
Talk to someone working in Telkom or Airtel technical department and they will tell you there has been increased traffic from Western regions.
Very true.Airtel and Telkom kenya have experienced a surge in traffic in Nakuru also.
Trusting that Airtel and Telkom are not celebrating the traffic spike as a result of spur of moment political action.
Boycott talk is like smoke...visible, smelly, seen from far...Beware the fire itself which the juggernaut is fanning....
- if or when a high ARPDAU churns (Average Revenue Per Daily Active User), the juggernaut farms a replacement from existing base.
- there seems to be a deliberate onslaught to affect competitor Average Margin Per User (AMPU) by tinkering with tariff and throwing an odd promo and offer here and there. I predict a data-intensive Christmas.
Will be interesting to see the absolute effects of voice traffic spikes in Western in ARPU. Neither GPO nor Parkside Towers inspire confidence in ability to take advantage of the boycott. Besides, the boycott could work both ways if you get the drift.
