Charged Political Environment begets Fear

The prevailing heightened political environment is a security and safety risk for most families, especially those in hot spot zones within Nairobi, Nakuru, and a couple of others such as Ruiru, Thika, Eldoret, Kisumu et cetera. In the run up to the just concluded elections of 8.8.17, families in these areas moved out for the period of the elections even though there didn’t seem to be that much of a risk. This time round, the tension is even more and feels real. What with a major disagreement over if IEBC remains or goes accompanied by chest thumping and ultimatums. I wonder if leaders like Mudavadi and Wetangula have taken this into account. Innocent families right now are feeling besieged. Just as absolute power corrupts leaders, so does absolute fanaticism blind the people from logic

As long as there are no fireworks in RV, all will be fine. RV is the worst hotspot, the rest are just small fires which just die naturally "Things that matter most must never be at the mercy of things that matter least." Goethe

I keep saying let's allow Uhuru to vent if that's what will keep his base sober. The base was feeling Uhuru was being too nice after the verdict. That base has a history in times of crisis of replacing leaders with hardliners. Kibaki was deemed too soft and replaced by Uhuru(Martha Karua almost took charge). Now you see the talk of J.B. Muturi as presidential material.
Let's hope for a clean boring campaign. The last one was so boring Madam Admin did not bother to block political threads

I wish they could do it in 30 days, everything is in place, lets not waste anymore of our time as a nation, already 2017 is written off due to IEBC incompetence. I heard a justification of Wakora among hawkers last night and it was on point. They believe NASA lobbied the Supreme Court and had prior knowledge of the judgement (what with those smiles on Friday?). The conclusion was that calling them Wakora was justified. "Ni mikora" was the conclusion.
