President Uhuru Kenyatta will on May 26–27, 2017 attend the 43rd G7 meeting in Sicily Italy.

The Core G7 members Italy, UK, USA, Japan, Germany, France and Canada have this year invited guests

Hailemariam Desalegn - Ethiopia

Uhuru Kenyatta - Kenya

Muhammadu Buhari - Nigeria

Beji Caid Essebsi - Tunisia

The summit will focus on the global economy, foreign policy, security of citizens, and environmental sustainability.

The theme of the Italian G7 presidency in 2017 is 'Building the foundations of renewed trust'. The presidency highlights that governments should adopt policies aimed at meeting their citizens' expectations. The work programme of the presidency is based on these three pillars:

; citizen safety
; economic, environmental and social sustainability ; and reduction of inequalities innovation, skills and labour in the age of the next production revolution.

Signal.................EA is about to be a mini China.

Wouldn't put too much significance on it ...may be the rich are bored of their own exclusive company!
In any case, does this G7 meeting ever accomplish anything?

UK is stepping up on the global platform to address the world leaders. This is because in their wisdom, he is fit to address them. Serious global matters are discussed here.
Meanwhile, locally baba's "Zangalewa troupe" is roaming all over the country to entertain their faithful worshipers with zangalewa dances and regurgitated lies. The circus continues.

Dr. James Mwangi of EBL addressed the same gathering almost ten years ago.

Don't read too much into it.

You are deteriorating into babuism, opposing everything for the sake of opposing.

Isn't it regrettable how supposedly informed people can't tell national interest from party politics? This tendency to analyse everything with the narrow lens of party or tribal politics is a terrible scourge.

G7 2017 has for the first time not invited South Africa and instead invited Kenya to represent African developing economies
