They should demanded that when they bought the "remainder" of the Rights Issue shares.

Since they are buying from the market at prevailing prices no need to put a demand notice.

Where will 10% come from, surely?

They will have to buy out all Wanjikus.

NSSF will be back in the top 10 shareholder list at their right time

You couldn't be more wrong. NSSF is among the top ten shareholders of Kengen, its only that, due to the change in the law, its interest is held under various custodial managers.

Take it from me, NSSF is in the top ten shareholders list of Kengen. Refer again to Kengen annual report, the report does not disclose who are the direct beneficiaries of the shares held in various nominee accounts. To prove my point I would urge you to get a copy of the funds financial statement for 2016.

NSSF normally uses Standard Chartered A/C 9230 which was transferred to Stanchart when Barclays sold its custodial business to Stanchart.
If you check the annual results for KENGEN 2015 you will find it there at position 3 but in 2016 it's out.
If you look at other companies where NSSF has shareholding like BBK,Stanchart,NMG,ARM you will find that account number.
Even when NSSF had shares in Safaricom that number you will find it.

NSSF was stopped from having multiple accounts after the Discount Securities fiasco where more than a bn of workers money was lost.
That number you have quoted I highly doubt it's NSSF

When they first purchased the shares... They would probably gotten their demand met.

Curious, how does one know the entity behind a custodial account? It could be very useful even for other counters.
