Been watching Munya on citizen tv. Him and kiraitu have been accusing each other of being the cause of NASA's rising support n Meru.

But today, Munya repeated twice that indeed, NASA has significant support in Meru.

In 2013 we got 7.5% of Meru votes. Our target this year was 12%. Maybe it's time to review this target.

Uasin gichu - 25%.
Kiambu - 15%.

incidentally we were discussing about the near 50/50 % support for Meru to jubilee and NASA with a Merian over lunch time today. the percentages came from the merian. This time it won't be easy for uhuruto.their supporters better know.
the hard economic times will make the younger generation to make a rebellious vote against their tribal folks.railonzo have a great chance if they(kalonzo muthama) stops the Bitching Moaning Whining

I can't claim to know the political dynamics of Meru but something monumental could be brewing.

In 2013, when ethnic mobilization was working like magic across the Gema vote bloc, Meru voters had no problem voting in two odm MPs.

In 2017, staunch Uhuru supporters from Meru are acknowledging NASA has significant support there.

Could this be the beginning of detribalized politics in Kenya ?

"MYSTERY OVER JUBILEE'S KSHS 2.2 TRILLION BORROWING
According to figures from Economic Survey Report 2017 by Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) Jubilee government has spent KShs 437.9 Billion on roads from 2013 including the amount projected for up to June 2017. The amount borrowed for SGR so far is KShs 327 Billion. If you add the two amounts you get a total of KShs 764.9 Billion.

Jubilee government has borrowed KShs 2.2 Trillion since coming into office. If you subtract the amount spent on SGR and road you get a balance of KShs 1.4 Trillion. Which other projects account for this KShs 1.4 Trillion?"

This is how rumours start.

Of course we know money is been stollen but give us facts, without facts, it's water under the bridge.

Was all the money borrowed for roads and rail? Who was the money borrowed from, for what reason, was it accomplished or not and how much is in reserve? Is there an auditor general's report?

BBI will solve it

The 2 Meru counties(Meru and Tharaka Nithi) do not have a history of blindly voting for parties. They vote individuals

In the 90s, people like Eustace Mbuba Ntwiga(Nithi), Jackson Kalweo(Igembe), Mathew Adams Karauri(Tigania East) and Kirugi M'Mukindia(Imenti Central) would win on KANU tickets in what was assumed to be a DP zone

The happenings in meru can be summarized by looking at gitobu imanyara who has voluntarily faced the mountain and refusal of Munya to endorse NASA

Divide the figures by 5 to get a realistic scenario.

What do you mean by 'we'? Boss, this is the stuff that gives people heart attacks. Even Billboard and that Bomet Governor have plan B's. Do not invest all your emotions in a political party. Vyama vina wenyewe (ask the Ndaani ndaani kabisa guy).

We are using 2013 actual figures.

I know this may come as a shocker to you but Rao got 10% of Kiambu votes in 2013. In Uasin Gishu, he got 22%.

Ni "chinda ya matamchi". Ulipotelea wapi kwanza ?

We needed your input on that back and forth argument about whether presidential votes announced by an RO at a constituency can be adjusted by the IEBC HQ.

What is the rationale behind the increased percentage? CORD thrived on fear of the unknown in 2013 but the dynamics have now changed. Do not get me wrong, it's not that the dynamic duo has done very well but the mess NASA would put us in is predictable and we are far much better off with the devils we know. Either way, we are doomed. I will vote in one of the two Counties mentioned and know a thing or two about word on the ground.

In principle the RO should be the authoritative figure on election results on his/her Election and thus it all depends on who THE RETURNING OFFICER OF AN ELECTION is! Our elections are on 4 levels, The lowest level - CAW, has no RO at that level and so the winner gets declared by the RO of the next level who happens to be the constituency RO. the Constituency RO is the final say on matters that concern an election under his/her jurisdiction. there is a County RO who declares results of the Women Rep. Senator and Governor. At the national level we have the Chairperson being the RO of the presidential election. So while the Constituency RO is the RO for MCA and MP elections, they are not ROs for Senator, Governor or Women rep positions and much in the same way they are not ROs for the presidential... however, this doesn't mean their contribution is trivial - no! they handle disputes for those elections e.t.c. So the result should not change and I am unaware of it having been changed in our history! I just know mahali watu hushindwa ni kwa debe!

"The ultimate humiliation... Scramble for food.

On Monday at Ruiru, word spread that the 90bob unga was coming to one of the supermarkets. Folks rushed there like they'd to a treasure hunt. They made a beeline ...
The supermarket attendants made an announcement... One was only to buy one packet plus something else! (growing up in kanu days this was a fixture especially for sugar!)
One middle aged lady picked her one packet and two five Bob biscuits. She had only one hundred shillings. Upon reaching the counter.... She was told to pick. Something else of greater value!
The poor mother was shocked into utter bewilderment. The rest of the shoppers went on with their business in typical Kenyan indifference .the lady slowly trudged to return her unga... Luckily, a young lady who had witnessed the whole debacle gave her fifty Bob with which she bought a loaf of bread! Such a piteous sight.

Jubilee hasn't reduced the common folk to a life bereft of dignity and decency.
Queuing for food, being given rations, taking food home like it's a trophy.
All this a sadistic consequence of state driven negligence and scheming.
Meanwhile.... You will find grown up men posting pictures of a rail and calling it progress.
Amazing .
The train is coming "

So Jubilee is running the Supermarket? Jubilee is also behind the typical Kenyan indifference! Let's hang Jubilee!

At least the fool owns up and remembers the shortages witnessed in KANU days. Then (1984 & 1990)you would have money and not get Unga and sugar in the store.

@Iganamagana, with whom does the buck stop?

After pumping billions into Galana Kulalu, not accounting for / stealing billions, you still see nothing wrong with this administration?

By the way, the expensive mobile clinics. Were they been deployed?
