Hello Wazuans,i need internet connection to access NVR in Kitengela area ,specifically Noonkopir area (less than 2 Km from Kitengela Town coordinates -1.464520,36.947870.
Kindly advise on the available options.I have tried using Huawei 3G routers but port forwarding is not working since the assigned IP address is not publicly accessible .

talk to the mobile providers, they can provide you with a ka APN and a public ip, of course its more expensive, but why do you need port forwarding I am assuming its just for home use.

So far the orange and the green fellows say no to a public ip and port forwarding , Safaricom are proposing wimax which will cost 10k per month which is on the higher side.I am looking into another option which i didnt know it exists (cloud based surveillance - ezvizlife from HIKVISION since the camera and the NVR are HIK brand.)Hoping this will work since it doesnt require port forwarding or public/static ip.....so they say.

Had used airtel apn which included a public ip, but that was like 5 years ago. But it's remote access to an ip-cam those cloud services that the specific manufacturer provides seems better and safer.
So in your case you needed a public IP at point A, then enable port forwarding on the camera service and be able to access the remote camera and get the raw live feed.

Zuku and JTL routers are all assigned public IP so you can just log in and do the port forwarding but I don't know if there are available at your place. For Zuku it's works as soon as you forward but for JTL you have to call and give them the list of the ports you want to forward so that they can unblock them from their end.

Thanks to everyone who offered advice and alternatives .I managed to use ezvizlife website which is part of HIKVISION and so far so good. This doesn't require port forwarding or static IP.
Zuku no longer use wimax technology so, the other options were Safaricom Wimax at Ksh 10,000 for 1Mbps or Access Motorola Canopy who promised to contact me but have not upto to now. After this challenge i have realised that HIKVISION beats the other CCTV brands with they various options to manage their products remotely. The setup comprises of 8 ip based /POE cameras and NVR and a Huawei 3G router.
