Shock on me! How now is it that my neighbour has imposed a visa fee for every time I land in his house....not permissible to use my tourist visa now I have to pay USD 200 as work permit for attending a business conference in Dar?????

It never ceases to amaze me the way my neighbour is delusional about the kind of love and support SA will offer him if the hyenas come attacking?

I want what this guy is on every time he takes a cigarette break! Sio yellow fiva, sio work permit, sio visa? eish huyu ahame aended huko kwa SADAC!Sickamp; Sickamp; Sickamp; Sickamp; Sad{|= Sad{|= Sad{|= Sad{|=

You should have banged the table, teared their visa and turned back. If you and few hundreds do so, how long will they last? Hotels? Tours and travels companies? It's time we stopped begging these fellows. I don't know what business conference they can host that can't be hosted in Kenya,Rwanda or UG.

@Mseto Binti, karibu bongo!

Next time just say you are going to see your boyfie (have a name and phone number of the purported boyfie ready in case they decide to counter check) and get the visitors pass, but woe unto you if they find you in and office or working (read using a laptop!)

@ Harry..hawa u cant reason with them kwanza the way they separated me and other kenyans and kept us waiting for about 40 min...ile ufala iko hapa bongoland its shocking.....you should see the number of conferences that have been cancelled and re-routed to Rwanda ( $30), Kenya ($67), Uganda ($70) its shocking...the hotels and caters have began complaining! You would think Dar is heaven..eish!

Only Seychelles has scrapped all visa fees for all countries..if only Gadafi was alive our dream of USA would be real.....

@mungaits...I definately need that number..dont worry I will be in beachwear throughout to affirm my tourist status throughout my visit!

Pole sana.
Been there on a bad day. The bile they hold for Kenyans....as a Cord member you'd rather go to Uhuru park on a 1st June.

Visit Nakumatt City for a feel-at-home experience - if you know what I mean and its on the shelves.

Also try to walk tall - you are many times ahead in almost all sensible indicators (literacy, political maturitysmile , economy, strategic planning.... Right now they are basking on trade coup on pipeline and railway. Little do they know how devious the Rw and Ug twins are. They just want T3 to also build infrastructure for them to strengthen bargaining power.

Meanwhile S.Sudan recently became EAC member... Ethiopia can technically join as well.

Those 2 economies are perfect for Kenya: consumerist, low agricultural and industrial output, (and no coherent plan towards that direction) but with good amount of mouths to feed.

SA has discovered that T3 is not relevant economically unlike Zim (dumpsite) and Mozambique (state farms). As a matter of fact, there is over 5 times SA investments in Ke compared to T3 (fdi intelligence; in dollar terms).

Our warts and all, Ke is still the most viable country with progressive economic and investment climate across the East half of Africa (Egypt, SA, Rwanda and Mauritius included). Our vibrant politics being a big force multiplier.

When I worked in tz for a while I found them very welcoming and kind of showed too much respect to kenyans, during that period I did not have a passport and used to go to nyayo house to get that temporary permit paper and the immigration guys at tz always used to tell me - 'mwenye hadhi kama wewe unatembea na makaratasi'. That seemed odd to me considering I was just a hustler going to stick a flashdisk in a server and click on install.

I think magufuli is really trying hard to beef up their confidence, and to make them feel as equals, not to see Kenya as the very big brother.
