What we saw yesterday was a daylight robbery of the Nairobi mayoral seat.....Odm councillors with bandages to fake injury as well as initimidate them to vote for a person who was necessarily their favorite choice was below the belt......That's why we should elect our mayors directly since they can't bribe us all......

Until we get the right systems at City Hall complete with internal checks and controls,mayoral elections and all other processes will continue to be a sham. The thinking at City hall is retrogressive and it won't matter how many times we replace the goons with fresh ones the results will be exhaustively similar. We continue to seek for our saving grace through a saviour(leader) but none will be found.Our systems are badly flawed. The doctrine of corporate succession planning does not exist in our public institutions.Its sad.
