There are cows which produce 3 litres in a day, despite the stage of calving.Mostly reared by farmers practicing subsistence farming.

Is it to possible to improve the production of those animals? If possible how?

smile smile @Coolio Thanks,
You are heavenly sent, now i feel better.I didnt want to say i own such but nimeona tuko wengi.
I have been trying to do a research on how i can improve the cows.Luckily i met a lady Vet who has an Agrovet. She told me its possible.First step is deworming the cows. She explained to me 'Salts' are also very important, but with a disclaimor dont give those that are given to high yielders. When she realised i am keenly following the guidelines she told me i start buying from her Agrovet so that we can walk the journey together.I farm ocha,so i am at loss, someone kinly help.

@Wazuaguest Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly Laughing out loudly ulikuwa umenyamaza na shida zako. Anyway i think the impact of climate/environment is huge to milk production. Had an auntie that bought 3 cows from Githunguri & took them to Kikuyu and she was shocked. Milk production dropped despite all efforts to give care. You would think that the climate is similar in both places but wapi.

The online commercial farming enthusiasts are in shock today. Two of the most ambitious and inspiring enterprises are being auctioned over unpaid loans.

1. Tassells dairy farm in Ruiru.
2. Bradegate poultry farm in Nyeri.
