This question, in addition to raising the favorite bogeyman of anti Baba forces, that Baba is the worst catastrophe that could befall Kenya, makes the assumption that a Baabaa led government would have been different because it was led by Baba - contrary to the anti Baba canard that it would be a zombie, sheeplike dictatorship, full of pomp and pageantry but devoid of any substance whatsoever. Maybe so, but we have wasted greater opportunities and also survived worse leadership, to wit:
1. 24 years of Moi's managerial incompetence, brought the country close to the edge but did not sink us
Secondly:
2. Don't over estimate the power of a President - much will happen despite him.
3. In fact the primary job of a President in Kenya today is to serve as the common whipping boy that we can all happily unite around and kick.
The only thing I would dare predict is that if Baba became President:
a) He would end up being as miserable as his predecessors have been. Kenyans are a terrible lot to lead, with their whining and 'serikali saidia' mentality....
b) We would see a boom in the comedy industry
