Democracy like many other things has a price. It is now official that the GOK is facing a cash crunch and one of the chief reasons is the huge size of government brought about by the new constitution.

What should be the way forward? Do we eat the humble pie and amend the constitution to whittle down the high number of government institutions by amending the constitution? As it is, things are only going to get worse.
