It started with the tyranny of numbers in 2012 when Mutahi predicted the outcome of 2013 general elections with precision accuracy based on hard facts generated from the voter registration activities. What happened? Some cord fellows went up in arms baying for his blood and shouting to the government that it (government) should immediately arrest Mutahi for incitement and tribalism.

First forward to 2015. Again he recorded another fact on the relationship between some leaders and the social/economic status of the people they represent/lead. The cord fellows once again did not want to hear it. We all know what is happening to Mutahi now.

An independent research institution which is not in any way affiliated to Mutahi (and neither does he work for it) carried out their own research and came out with similar findings just like those that Mutahi himself had highlighted.

It appears then Mutahi Ngunyi was right afterall.

When will Kenyan leaders ever learn to embrace and accept the truth as it is no matter how bitter it is and gradually build from it?

I personally laud the president Uhuru for showing the way...when he took over the presidency, he accepted the fact that the former governments were indeed tyrannical and committed some atrocities to its own citizens. He took responsibility as the current government leader and apologised to 40+ million Kenyans on behalf of the government. It would take tonnes of courage for an African president to do this. I have heard of only one...late julius Nyerere on failed ujamaa.

Don't skin me too for telling the truth about Mutahi Ngunyi.
