Am looking for a specific engine part, checked online and realized it could be cheaper buying from the UK and having it shipped directly to me. Anyone tried this route and it worked or failed?
What should look out for?

@CLK,

Yes! It's way far cheaper than dealing with Kenyan spare re-sellers. For a while, i have been using First Choice Uk for second hand spares. Truth is,they are usually as good as new for a song.

Njung'e is right....
1st Choice are good. Ensure you have the correct details of the vehicle, some will respond just to get your business, but you may have to speak to someone... ie call them (the spare parts dealer that responds) to confirm, the part you are really seeking is what they will supply.

E.g. you are seeking a Turbocharger for a 2007 Nissan Navara D40... you enter the detail, in a few hours, or days you get a response from several dealers, with prices, and you decide to pay online, they will supply what you have asked for. The only difference is that there are two types. One is 3 bolt fitment while the other is 4 bolt. And in this case, even supplying the part no. or chassis number wont matter. You may get the the 4 bolt and your cars is 3 bolt.... No way it will fit, (having spent a good few hundred £s), But, had you called them, with the reference number, they would have told you, that there are two types and asked you, which do you want?

They are not dishonest (in most cases). They didn't con you, they simply gave you what you asked for. You asked for bread, they gave you bread (white), only that you wanted brown bread.
