at 54 and he has no property in Kenya. I am all for professionalism and merit but I also think it is good for someone in such a high position to have at least some skin in the game. Even Githongo eventually got married. Is he Opus Dei?

β€œI pursue things slowly and maybe years after I retire from being governor, I will move on and invest in particular things,” he added.

He said the lack of investments in the country or a family (he is not married) is not a reflection of fear of making decisions.

β€œI have made many difficult decisions. I weigh situations and back them with data before making decisions,” said Dr Njoroge.

Managing a successful family is a plus in our perception of a successful man and so we believe he can manage our main bank tòo. Just like the opinion about single mothers ranks lower than the married ones.

Anyhow lets see how he drives CBK but sijaskia poa about hio story.

Does he have a kid/s somewhere?

Its also because they do not understand the subject matter which they should vet. And they must say something! Their constituents must see and hear them on TV.

He seems to have good ideas.....

C&P
However, Njoroge who has a PhD in economics, said he was still puzzled by the current interest rate charges in the Kenyan market.
He said the prevailing rates were only comparable to countries that had been hit by a banking crisis. β€œIt is such a puzzle why the interest spreads are very large. It is indeed true that commercial banks have been making as high as 28 per cent in returns on equity,” Njoroge said. β€œI plan to work very closely with commercial banks on this issue. My approach will be to see banks get more innovative and I will insist on market-based solutions that are sensitive to their profits but also at the same time address the high interest spreads,” he explained.

That rules out any hope for MPigs to corrupt him, right?

This is indeed good.
The flip-side is the possibility he becomes IMFs inside horse, copy-pasting their ideas into CBKs fiscal policy

While I have never been a big fan of the IMF, copy pasting their ideas might be better than some of the ideas our own MinFin would come up with?

BTW, who is the MinFin right now?

I guess all the Men in the 11th parliament are married, how does this reflect in how they perform their duties as MP's? If you ask me this is the worst parliament we've had in years.....does this say anything about their marital statusd'oh! d'oh! d'oh!

They stooped too low, couldn't ask any intelligible question yet this was a serious position that needed the right questions asked. nkt...
