The black-butted (huge ass) ant is the sweetest, usually available in the rainy months of April/May.
We would pick them up and eat them during the safari rally in 80's.

Given that John the Baptist would eat them fresh after dipping in wild honey - and later flushing the bite with milk (hopefully not from cactus trees) it may be better for us to do the same .

In the case of 200 billion locusts each household would have ........... locusts for one meal for the next ........ days.

We could capture them while in flight using special nets.
