Ostensibly to help PEV victims rebuild their lives. Is this really necessary? 2007 election was eight years ago and most of us have moved on. While there are people in genuine need, I suspect this as another avenue for big fish to make a kill. Given how corrupt this administration is, I doubt this fund will be used properly.

Historical injustices since independence not PEV alone.

For Compensation purposes it is VEEERY neccessary. Even if it takes 100years. How long has it taken mau mau compensation? But for thiefing purposes some fellows will make a kill. Hope Omera,Wanyama,Mutua and Nyachae registered as IDP's otherwise i foresee tyranny may prevail & mountaneers become wealthy.

Only 2007/2008 PEV victims has been factored in. The article in the nation says nothing about other historical injustices.

Check your facts...the fund is supposed to compensate all people who were affected by the past atrocities that the president apologized for. This is as per the recommendation of the TJRC. The atrocities that qualify the compensation are well documented there....Shida though itakuwa implementation. Hapo siasa yenye itamwagika wacha tu. There is supposed to be formed a commission to advise the govt on how the compensation is to be administered.
